Chilly-Billy™ ice compress was created by Billy Leavitt after several years of involvement with his son’s baseball career. Years of trying different methods of taking care of his son’s arm created a necessity to find a better and easier way to apply cold therapy. Many a game was spent applying cold therapy with either frozen ice packs or bags of ice wrapped around the shoulder and elbow. Traveling nationwide also presented its own set of problems trying to insure proper care was provided, especially with any type of frozen ice pack. Applying bags of ice wrapped in bandages or cellophane wrap proved cumbersome and leakage problems.
